Simple way to watch video on TV:
1. Turn off computer
2. Plug on cable to computer and second side of cable to TV
3. Turn on computer.
4. Open video file in player, and drag it to your tv, then switch player into full-screen mode.
it's all. It's simply, or not?
By the way! video quality on tv is much better then on computer monitor!!! and it is not joke!!!
You can check video quality of this file for free, it is part from game “METALURH (Z)” – ”SHAKHTAR” from video downloads section. On tv this looks like you watch it from satelite. Check it!

1.When you connect your PC to TV, computer and TV must be turned off.(Of course you can connect it when they are turned on, but it is not recommended).
2.Then turn on TV set, switch it to s-video in, it must be some button on tv remote. TV screen must be blank (black).
3.Turn on computer. If TV connected properly it will show same boot process as computer monitor. (If not, don't worry, maybe boot process on your computer is too fast.)
4. When windows desktop appear on your monitor, click with right mouse button on your desktop (you will see drop-down menu) and select properties.
5. Go to last tab called "Settings". You will see two pictures of displays "1" and "2". monitor 2 will be gray. Like on this picture:
6.Click on second monitor icon, and then you be able to set checkbox called "Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor". Check this checkbox and click "Apply".
Tip: by defauls second monitor icon is on the right, but if your TV set is on the left side against computer, you can drag this icon ("2") to the right side relatively to first monitor icon ("1").
Ok,now, if you have wallpaper on your desktop, it must be shown on tv. On this step tv is connected to computer.
To watch video on tv, open video in player, and drag player to right side of your monitor (if you move monitor icon to left side, you must drag player to left) player must appear on TV. Drag all player to tv and click play and video will play on tv.

If you need more information, then I need to know model of your video card, and what operating system is installed on your computer.
